Overview
The sports industry is expanding quickly around the world. Sport can be defined as both a source of entertainment and a physical activity, so the sports industry comprises many possible businesses. For example, the sports industry covers such businesses as professional teams and players, equipment manufacturers, and various media. Because there are so many kinds of businesses associated with sports, it is a complex industry to understand. The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of the sport industry that introduces the student to the basic fundamental knowledge and skill sets required of the sport manager to solve sport business problems. This course provides students with a solid understanding of sports and business and management and how these aspects work together. Students will receive instruction directly related to business topics in sports and also will acquire knowledge, skills, and abilities relating to the basic principles of management, marketing, law, finance and ethics in sports. Students will be challenged to apply knowledge of sport management situations to solve basic problems faced by sports managers.

Track structure
This track consists of 3 modules. Each module consists of 32 hours of material delivered over a period of 4-8 weeks. At the end of each module, and after passing the quiz, you will receive a certification of completion. A certificate will be issued after successfully completing the track’s modules and passing the final exam. (Providing you completed the 3 modules).
