High Performance Sports Coaching
High performance coaching is quickly gaining popularity among sports professionals and employers due to its major role in optimizing athletes’ achievements. We designed this certificate in partnership with industry experts to help equip high performance coaches with skills, experience and knowledge specifically tailored to the need of the sport industry and the coaching market. This certificate will help coaches and sports professional gain a deeper understanding of the physiological and practical principles of coaching high-performant athletes. It also provides a strong foundation for a career as a high performance coach. During the course, you will explore key areas such as High performance pathway, adaptation, Energy system and performance, season planning and even novel areas such as applied of artificial intelligence in sport. You will also develop transferable skills such as presentation, project and time management, critical thinking , communication and generic skills, both theoretically and in workshops. This intensive certificate program is delivered in weekly modules and consists of 4 hours presentations and workshops. It is an online certificate which allows for a more flexible schedule so that you can learn at your own pace

PROJECT IN HIGH PERFORMANCE SPORTS COACHING ATHLETES
The project course will begin on week 2 and end on week 5. The project will require you to conduct an original research project that builds on coaching High performance annual planning. You will be required to provide annual year plan including the following:
• Periodization & structure.
• Main energy system in the sport.
• Examples for aerobic and anaerobic sets.
• Main fatigue factors during the cycles and how to recover.
• Adaptation monitoring. The projects will be graded though presentation and by instructors.

4-11 Week
The capstone project will begin on week 4 and end on week 11. It will require you to conduct an original research
project that builds on coaching age group scenario dilemma. We will provide three potential projects involving
annual year plan, periodization and case study modelling and you will choose one. The projects will be graded
though presentation and evaluation by instructors.
For each project we will provide:
1. A data set or model on which the project will be based.
2. Additional references relevant to the project.
Once you have selected your project, your report should be submitted as a single PDF document that includes the
following:
1. A 1-page introduction explaining the basis for the project dilemma. This will be based on the articles we provide,
and can (optional) be supplemented by your own literature search of 4-5 additional relevant articles.
2. A one-page description of the strategy you will need to perform and a brief description of the implementation for
the data set you will use to address the dilemma (the implementation design and the assay). We will provide data
sets that are coordinated with the question when needed.
3 .Using graphs with captions, displaying the results.
4. A 1-2 page description of the results
