Whether a student has a beginner, intermediate, or advanced competency level depends on the score obtained in our placement test. The score is a value between 0 and 100. Users with skill scores in the lowest segment of the scale are beginners, those in the middle are intermediates, and those in the top part are advanced.
Our Placement Test
It is an online test that assesses students’ English competencies and skills. It is used to assign them in the appropriate English class for their level: beginner, intermediate, or advanced. It is composed of 100 questions and takes approximately 30- 60 minutes to complete. Our placement test is FREE and you are under NO OBLIGATION to attend any of our programs if you take it. TEACHING STRATEGIES
Because our objective is to help our students become proficient in the English language and foster their confidence in their ability to speak English in different contexts, our main focus will be in improving oral communication. Hence, our courses will be practical, and tasks and exercises will be designed to encourage speaking and stimulate oral interactions.
Role playing has been proven to be one of the most effective strategies in acquiring communication skills. It is recommended as an excellent method for teaching language because it prepares students for genuine communication and for the unpredictability of real-life communication. It also promotes acceptable language use, increases self-confidence, help retain information, provides students with immediate feedback on their language proficiency, and encourages participation in a relatively risk-free environment.
Interpersonal communication tasks are essential to be able to verbally communicate in spontaneous conversations. That’s why we will propose a variety of communicative activities that will strengthen students’ interpersonal speaking and interpretative listening skills and reinforce what they've learned while also giving them opportunity to practice and apply the knowledge they acquired through their vocabulary and grammar units.
Studies indicate that it is corrective feedback that best mediates learning and develops language proficiency. Feedbacks will be given to each student individually to help them achieve their goals.
A wide range of exercises will be available to help our students improve their interview skills, compose clear emails in English, and learn about sports-related subjects and issues, watch soccer games, listen to podcasts, or read sports articles, then complete the specially created exercises to help them comprehend the topic and put their newly acquired language skills to practice.
