About Age Group Sports Coaching Diploma
Because a child and an adult are physiologically different, they must be treated differently. But the question remains: how should these differences affect individualized training programs for children? This Diploma will equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand the physical capabilities of children and the potential impact that sport activity can have on young athletes. It is designed to be a practical course that comprises the qualifications & competencies required for the age group coaches with sound sports science insights intended to successfully retain age group athletes and enhance the daily training environment. There are many factors governing this processing, the most important of which is the pace of the maturation process, which can vary substantially. That's why we'll start by discussing how development and maturity affect motor skills and performance. Next, we briefly review the physiological aspects of training for age group athletes. Then, we will examen important teaching and learning skills. Later, we will explore season planning and how to test in the laboratory and in the field. Finally, we will wrap up with capstone project.

though presentation and evaluation by instructors.
For each project we will provide:
1. A data set or model on which the project will be based.
2. Additional references relevant to the project.
Once you have selected your project, your report should be submitted as a single PDF document that includes the
following:
1. A 1-page introduction explaining the basis for the project dilemma. This will be based on the articles we provide,
and can (optional) be supplemented by your own literature search of 4-5 additional relevant articles.
2. A one-page description of the strategy you will need to perform and a brief description of the implementation for
the data set you will use to address the dilemma (the implementation design and the assay). We will provide data
